But they that await upon the Lord...

Because it will be made public at District 321's School Board meeting tonight, I want to give you the news first. Russ has been hired by Madison School District as the Facilities Manager for the whole district. His responsibilities include not only the new construction he has been in charge of, but also building maintenance, janitorial services, grounds upkeep, buses and so forth. He reports directly to the Superintendent and has his own office. He has a number of people who will report to him. His benefits include health insurance, vacation, retirement, vacation days and mileage for his vehicle. He will be especially busy until the end of the year when the two new elementary schools will be completed. Right now he is busy getting to know the people, checking out the property and figuring out how he will do it all, but he is excited because he enjoys the work.

We are still in a sort of daze as the pieces have fallen into place. Who knew where he would end up? It will be 7 years in November since Russ was laid off at the site and the Lord has truly blessed us as we have learned to wait upon Him. I can hardly believe how He has provided for us and how He has known our needs. Thanks to each of you for your prayers and encouragement -- being part of a wonderful family has helped tremendously.

I bear testimony that we are not alone as we go through the trials that come to us. The Savior lives and loves us and my faith and love for Him has increased beyond measure. I am not afraid of the future because with the help of the Lord we can do all things.
