The Report on Sunday

In spite of some pre-Sunday anxious moments as to whether or not Spencer would even be able to stand up, let alone give his talk last Sunday, due to his recovering from his ear surgery on the previous Monday, he was able to do so; did very well and bore humble and heartfelt testimony as to the truthfulness of the gospel and of his mission. It was good to have all of the support from the family. He was touched that you were there, and happy to see everyone, especially his cousins. I was sorry I wasn't able to get or give a hug to each of you. By the time I finished talking with an old friend most of you had gone. Laurie and Russ did come and have dinner with us and we enjoyed their company. BJ and Dann decided to have a family gathering to welcome Spencer home at a later date when he is more fully recovered.

Tonight we prepared dinner for the Spanish speaking elders here in our area. Both seem well-prepared to be missionaries and said the work is going along with great success. We've been told in our ward missionary meetings that the people in the Spanish Branch are enthusiastic, active, and great fellowshippers and missionaries.
Sounds like the fulfillment of a Book of Mormon promise to me.
Love you, Grandma J.
