We're here, we're settled and we like it here in Texas a great deal! Just thought I'd give a little update on our little family:
- The whole move went really very smooth: ABF was wonderful and we will definitely move with them again.
- The stops along the way were fun: Arches National Park and Mesa Verde National Park
- Lauren, amazingly enough, did okay...thanks to snacks, Scripture Scouts and the Children's Songbook on CD.
- We were super excited to cross the border from New Mexico into Texas!!! If we ever drive home again, we will try to avoid New Mexico (sorry for all of you NM lovers out there!)
- Our new apartment left a little (or a lot) to be desired, but Har has made many "improvements" and we feel a little more at home now. The location couldn't be better! We're smack dab in the middle of a nice subdivision and right across the street from a park and an elementary school :) And we have a pool in our complex :)
- Also, we live 2 blocks away from the Temple and go to church in the Stake Center that shares the parking lot. We are so lucky to have a temple here!
- The ward here is AMAZING! We absolutely love it and feel like we are right where we are supposed to be! Also, what a small world the Church is!
- Harley is enjoying school (lots of work, but "very interesting" he tells me) and Lauren and I learning to manuever our way around Lubbock
- And no, it really does not feel any more hot, dry or humid than it did in Idaho or Utah.
- Lauren is good. She is definitely ALL girl and loves anything that resembles a purse, necklace or cell phone.
- She is also becoming quite the little helper...sometimes, a little TOO helpful. Oh well!
Anyway, things are good and we're getting used to life here in Texas. Hope everyone is doing well!
