Dale was here yesterday helping grandpa with the furnace and he gave me a pkg. of microwave popcorn--so since grandpa is off home teaching, I just had a little popcorn party all by myself. Thank you, Dale, Russ, and Kevin for your help with furnace getting in. It is coming along, slowly but surely. And----a Big Thank You to those who were able to help with and come to Kris and Holly's wedding. It got off to a crazy start with a scheduling malfunction, but that just added some spice to help remember the occasion. It was interesting to share the building with a funeral viewing and a singles' dance--luckily the kitchen and the room just next to it were available, so a last minute complication turned out to not be a disaster, but something to chuckle about. As busy as this family is, it's neat to have you all come through whenever and wherever you're needed--food, flowers, music, etc. you do it all.
We're looking forward to Thanksgiving this Thursday at Kevin and Ann's and appreciate their willingness to have us and for their hospitality. Our sacrament meeting talks today were about being thankful for and recognizing blessings during the difficult times of our lives. The speakers, a young couple, relatively new in the ward, went through a traumatic period early in their marriage, when he was diagnosed with a serious brain tumor, operated on, and had a very difficult and long time in recovery. It was touching and reminded me to be more grateful.
Keep the recipes coming! You're awesome! Love you all!
