It's Over for Another Year!

Yes, the 2006 reunion's over! Thanks to each of you who could come for being here--Melissa, and Lincoln for making the extra effort, when you easily and with good reason, could have said "No, we're not coming"--Taylor and Tommy added the spice of little ones we needed. And thank you to everyone for your participation. Ann (and Kevin) did a great job in planning and organizing--if you can ever call this family organized. With Maddy, Ann, Kiana, Jan, Alison, Lindsay and Rachel's help we tied 3 little quilts for the humanitarian aid. There were 12 here for a sleepover Friday night after a delicious dinner--compliments of the Wilson and Dale J. Barnes families. And a special thank you to Julie and Harley (Russ helped) for doing the family history trivia quiz, which included getting prizes for winners. Was a bit chaotic (and a little frustrating) to say the least as to which teams were actually winners--but you all were great and even knew the answers! All I can say is WOW, you're a tremendous bunch! Saturday's lunch (Kris, Christy, Dann, BJ families provided) was wonderful and the two float trips down the Dry Bed Canal were hits. After hearing about all the laughing and fun that went on Grandma is ALMOST tempted to go next time. We're sure glad Jan was able to get herself and her inner tube unstuck and continue on. I understand some of those not participating in floating (Kris, Christy, Lincoln, and Harley) did a little golfing that was also fun, and Grandma Laurie enjoyed together time with her daughters and grandchildren during these activities. Then there was The GAME after another delicious meal (Kevin T. Barnes family) Saturday evening. What a riot! Kiana did such a great job of taping all the candy into a ball it was next to impossible to get a piece of tape off. I didn't realize how aggresive and wild a family we are (shall I name a few names?)--even grandpa and grandma got into the act! And seeing Harley pick Uncle Russ up and carry him across the room was something else. Brittany (and Sean) were good sports in spite of anxiously awaiting the arrival of their new baby girl, who still isn't here yet.

We all breathed a sigh of relief after Sarah, Price, and Aiden arrived safely in Pocatello, and Aiden's blessing on Sunday was an extra bonus event. Again, the food after was delicious. We missed having them, as well as the Nielsen's, and Heidi, Theron, Ben, Lachelle, Josh, and Daron here. Just remember that Dann and BJ are in charge next year, and BJ is all ready contemplating some teriffic ideas for a different and fun adventure! See you then. Oh, yes, there were plenty of baby tenders for Lauren. This is all ready too long so I didn't name all your names. Just know that each and everyone is loved and your contribution was noticed!
